ABHOP at Methodist Richardson Medical Center is dedicated to closing the gap in breast healthcare. We provide a full spectrum of support, from community outreach to clinical navigation, ensuring that every woman has the tools she needs for early detection and peace of mind.
Community Outreach and Education
- Awareness Promotion:
You can find our team at regional health fairs and community festivals, sharing life-saving information. - Language-Specific Workshops:
We conduct breast health seminars and workshops in several Asian languages to ensure cultural and linguistic clarity. - One-on-One Education:
Every client receives personalized breast health education during their appointment.
Clinical Access and Navigation
- No-Cost Mammograms:
We assist eligible low-income and uninsured women in accessing free screening mammograms. - Insurance Navigation:
For those with health insurance who face language or health literacy barriers, we provide expert guidance to help them schedule and utilize their benefits. - "Bridge of Trust" Patient Navigation:
We provide culturally sensitive, one-on-one navigation from the initial screening through to diagnostic exams, staying with the client until a final diagnosis is reached.

To ensure no woman is left behind, our bilingual staff provides services in: English • Cantonese • Mandarin • Hindi • Korean • Urdu • Vietnamese
Our Clinical Standard
All mammograms are performed at the Breast Center of Methodist Richardson Medical Center—an ACR-accredited Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The center is fully accredited in mammography, ultrasound, breast biopsy, and MRI to provide comprehensive, top-tier imaging services.Eligibility For Free Mammograms
- Age: 40 years of age or older.
- Residencey: Must reside in North Texas (Collin, Dallas, or Denton County).
- Insurance Status: Currently uninsured
- Income: Household income must not exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
